Reed Finance are partnered exclusively with a growing manufacturing business in Reading to recruit a new Financial Controller on a permanent, full-time basis. This is fantastic opportunity for an experienced FC to really take ownership over this SME, reporting into the substantial US parent company and managing a small team. Due to nature of the business please note that this is a fully office-based role.

Reporting into the General Manager you will take full ownership over the Finance function, managing a transactional team, implementing and maintaining robust financial controls, process improvement, Reporting, planning, quarterly consolidation, and revenue recognition. This is a newly created role due to company growth and offers ample opportunity to grow and develop with a business that provides a very welcoming and supportive working environment.

This role will be suited to an experienced Financial Controller who is used to a hands-on, lean environment with a broad remit of responsibility. You will ideally have experience with cost and inventory accounting and good understanding of both UK and US GAAP.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility of all aspects of financial planning, reporting and controls
  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Managing the finance team including AP, AR, GL, Payroll
  • Overseeing all audit activities for multiple subsidiaries
  • Partnering with other teams, in particular Operations, to provide financial insight and support
  • Establishing and maintain internal accounting and operational controls over revenue recognition, expense management, and effective measurement and control over all assets
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting schedules
  • Managing and overseeing Month-End close, upskilling the junior team to take on more Month-End responsibilities

Essential experience:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Global accounting experience
  • Demonstrable experience within a Manufacturing SME environment

Experience with Netsuite is desirable but not essential

Salary offered is £65-80k doe with the opportunity for a bonus of up to 20% (individual and company performance). Private medical and dental are also included alongside the standard pension, holiday etc.
