Site Assistant
  • Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
  • Location: Reading, UK
  • Salary: £24,790 - £25,183 per annum

A dedicated and reliable Site Assistant is needed to join a supportive team, ensuring that the educational institution remains a clean, safe, and well-maintained space for students, staff, and visitors.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the site.
  • Open and close the buildings on a rotational basis (6:30am opening, 6:00pm closing).
  • Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with site security and health & safety procedures.
  • Set up rooms and spaces for events and activities.
  • Work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the institution.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, and Building Control.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Good team player with a positive attitude.
  • Basic maintenance and DIY skills are desirable.
  • Willingness to adapt to the needs of the institution, including occasional flexibility with working hours.
