Overview:
We are urgently seeking two skilled miners for timber heading works in shallow ground conditions. The first project will be at Reading STW (RG2), followed by a move to a major project in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced miners looking for consistent work across multiple sites.
Roles Available:
- Lead Miner: Responsible for leading timber heading operations and ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Back-Up Miner/Mate: Assists the lead miner, supports operations, and ensures smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out timber heading in shallow ground conditions
- Work safely and efficiently in confined environments
- Collaborate with site teams to maintain progress and safety standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mining or timber heading
- CSCS card and relevant site qualifications
- Confined Space advantageous
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to different site conditions
- Availability to start December/January
