Are you an ambitious Paralegal with experience in Personal Injury and Industrial Disease claims? Join a highly regarded, Chambers-ranked law firm based in central Reading, known nationally for its expertise in Claimant PI, Asbestos-related disease and Mesothelioma litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle initial enquiries from new clients with professionalism and empathy
  • Support senior fee earners with complex PI and asbestos/mesothelioma claims
  • Draft legal correspondence and documents, including court forms and care statements
  • Prepare court bundles for hearings and trials
  • Conduct in-depth legal and company research (eg on historical defendants)
  • Assist with drafting Part 8 proceedings and applications to restore companies to the register
  • Manage digital files and correspondence using iManage, Elite, MatterSphere, PDF Docs, Microsoft Teams and Outlook 365
  • Contribute to team marketing efforts, including managing social media, writing legal articles and attending charity/industry events
  • Perform general administrative support across ongoing case files
  • Maintain up-to-date case and file management records

? Your Profile:

  • Previous Claimant-side Personal Injury experience (essential)
  • Familiarity with industrial disease litigation (desirable)
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Organised, with strong attention to detail and file management discipline
  • Confident in speaking with clients and external stakeholders
  • Good working knowledge of legal software systems and Microsoft Office
  • Motivated to learn and progress in a niche, rewarding legal field
