Reed practice are proud to be working with a top 10 accounting firm who are seeking to add a Share Plans & Incentives Tax Manager to their tax team based in their Reading Office. In this role, you will be a key member of the Global Employer Services group, this role will provide reward and share schemes services for a wide range of clients. You will be responsible for assisting Directors & Partners in providing Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Ability to advise on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership

  • An in depth knowledge of EMI, ESS and knowledge of reward tax and related areas such as employment, NIC and capital gains tax etc

  • Expertise on split interest, freezer and nil paid arrangements

  • Experience in the preparation of share valuations and liaison with HMRC

  • Staff management and mentoring experience

  • Awareness of accounting, employment law and company law implications of share incentives

  • Experience of dealing direct with clients including agreement of fees

  • Educated to degree level (LLB preferred), and/or CTA and/or ATT/ACA qualified or equivalent

To be considered for this role, candidates must have experience in a similar tax role in an accountancy practice.
