BDS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Sheltered Housing Scheme Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity based across two sites in Reading and Caversham.
Hours- 36 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5pm- but start and finish time can be flexible.
This role is temporary ongoing in the first instance to start asap
Payrate: £15.49 PAYE or £20 UMBRELLA and any mileage is paid at 45 per mile.Â
The Role:
- To ensure residents over 55 are able to live independently within sheltered and general housing using assistive technology.
- Managing a scheme of 35 apartments.
- To provide advice on low level rent arrears and liaise with the Income team.
- To carry out tenant daily wellbeing calls and checks based on assessed risk that promotes independence.
- Offering advice and guidance to residents to help them remain independent
About you:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience of building checks and repairs reporting
- Experience in social and/or supported housing
- An Enhanced DBS dated in the previous 12 months or on the update service is vital for this role.
- Access to a vehicle (Any mileage is paid at 45p per mile)
