Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (Full-Time)

Location: Redditch
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Redditch. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in accounts payable to work in a fast-paced, supportive, and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner

  • Match, batch, and code invoices to purchase orders

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS)

  • Handle supplier queries professionally and promptly

  • Assist with month-end close processes including accruals and reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, SAP)

  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines

  • Professional and proactive approach to work

Desirable:
  • AAT qualification (or working towards)

  • Experience working in a shared service or multi-site environment

  • Familiarity with purchase order systems and automated invoice processing
