Job Advert - Hose Assembler (Aerospace Industry)
Location: Redditch

Working Hours: 38 hours per week 7am - 3.45pm Mon to Thu, 7am - 12pm Fri

About the Role
We are looking for x2 skilled Assemblers to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role involves the preparation and assembly of clamps, brackets, hoses, and other aerospace components within an AS9100 and NADCAP approved facility. The position may also include fabrication or finishing operations, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of equipment including spot welders, pneumatic riveters, bench formers, hand presses, cutting saws, crimping machines, pressure testing rigs, and moulding tools.
  • Follow engineering drawings, data cards, process specifications, and standard work instructions to ensure product integrity.
  • Use and maintain measurement equipment such as borescopes, Verniers, micrometres, and tensile testers.
  • Carry out inspection of your own work, ensuring compliance with tooling, gauges, and fixtures.
  • Perform pre- and post-assembly operations including cutting, polishing, tagging, cleaning, and packing.
  • Take part in safety checks, risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and workplace organisation (5S).
  • Support team training, productivity improvements, and problem-solving to reduce scrap and rework.


Additional Responsibilities (for more experienced candidates)

  • Provide team leader support, including workload organisation, daily planning, and holiday/sickness cover.
  • Act as a champion or delegate for Mesh, QLI, or Lean Tools such as 5S, Visual Management, or Value Stream Mapping.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and contribute to workstation risk assessment reviews.


What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience with assembly and equipment listed above (preferred).
  • General computer skills to access drawings and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to inspect and verify work.
  • Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
