Our client is a well-established firm of Independent Financial Planners, providing bespoke financial solutions to both private and corporate clients. They are now seeking an operations Manager to join their expanding team in the Redditch area. They are looking for a driven and enthusiastic candidate who can provide exceptional level of support to they're advisers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- To report to the Directors of Pinnacle Financial Planning and support them by recommending corrective action and improvement to company operations
- Knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations, including Consumer Duty
- Lead projects as agreed with all Stakeholders
- Monitor and review operational performance and business strategy in order to maximise productivity
- Develop, recommend and implement strategies to improve processes and workflows
- Review and streamline operational costs and company profitability
- Manage Business Support and Paraplanning teams to deliver optimal productivity. This includes effective training on best practices, technical queries and overall company procedures
- Undertake staff recruitment, probation reviews and ongoing staff appraisals
- Work closely with the Compliance Manager
- Point of contact for technical questions
- All back-office staff report to the Operations Manager, including holiday requests
- To work with all staff and advisers at Pinnacle in furtherance of the Company’s development and stated objectives. To carry out all tasks required by the Directors in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Responsibility for maintaining own diary to ensure that outstanding work is chased up on a regular basis.
Experience and Skills:
- Candidates applying will hold Diploma in Financial Planning, and ideally some Advanced Qualifications or other recognised industry qualifications
- Paraplanning/technical report writing experience
- Experience of managing staff
- Use of Intelligent Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook
- Ideally have experience of working with Platforms
- Experience of dealing with commissions and fees on Intelligent Office
