Job Title: Office Manager – Financial Planning

Location: Worcestershire

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000+ DOE

We are working with a well-established, independent financial planning firm with a close-knit team seeking a technically experienced Office Manager to play a vital leadership role within their open-plan head office.

This is a hands-on, strategic, and people-focused role that will suit a senior paraplanner, office manager, compliance officer or operations lead ready to step into a key management position. The successful candidate will be the technical "go-to", supporting advisers and paraplanning team as well as managing business support while working closely with the directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the paraplanning and business support teams
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal queries and technical support
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews, and staff development
  • Streamline workflows, improve productivity, and manage team KPIs
  • Support on FCA compliance (including Consumer Duty) and liaise with the Compliance Manager
  • Lead internal projects and contribute to commercial decision-making
  • Ensure effective use of back-office systems and reporting tools
  • Work directly with directors to drive operational strategy

Requirements:

  • Strong background in paraplanning or compliance within financial planning
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams
  • Ideally holds the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or working towards it)
  • Skilled in Intelligent Office, Word, Excel, Outlook (platform experience with Quilter, Abrdn, Elevate advantageous)
