Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: Up to £31,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager 

Role Purpose

To manage customer quality issues, support customer requirements, and ensure effective investigation, reporting, and resolution of quality concerns. The role also supports ISO 9001 compliance and quality improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve customer quality issues and returns
  • Act as point of contact for customer quality concerns
  • Lead root cause investigations from start to closure
  • Implement containment and corrective actions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to prevent reoccurrence
  • Provide quality feedback to manufacturing teams
  • Maintain Control Plans and PFMEAs
  • Conduct internal audits related to customer issues
  • Carry out ISIR inspections and coordinate PPAP activities
  • Maintain ISIR samples and quality records
  • Create and update inspection documentation
  • Review and implement customer quality requirements
  • Analyse quality data and trends
  • Compile and report quality KPIs
  • Maintain WBH IMDS data for new and existing products
  • Support and mentor the Customer Quality Team
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required


Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing quality role
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage issues from start to finish
  • Knowledge of quality tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Methodical, organised, and able to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
