Description
The role of Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will involve:
- The efficient planning of all heavy haulage solutions.
- Being the main point of contact for all heavy haulage and escort drivers.
- Submission of all route notifications relevant to STGO (Category 3).
- Planning for any rail-based customers.
- Working closely with the project team to ensure successful planning and completion of all jobs.
- Resolving any issues for drivers or customers regards heavy haulage.
Profile
A successful Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will need:
- Excellent transport planning experience (3 years minimum).
- A background in planning for abnormal loads and route notifications.
- Strong IT skills, particularly with TMS.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Advanced communication skills (internal and customer).
Desirable:
- OLAT trained or Transport Management CPC (desirable).
- Familiarity with STGO Regulations.
- Understanding of technical drawings.
