Are you experienced in precision machining and ready to apply your skills in a laboratory environment? Mettis Group is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician (Machinist) to join our dynamic testing team.

In this hands-on role, you'll manufacture high-quality metal test specimens using CNC milling machines, manual lathes, band saws, and other cutting tools. Working within our laboratory machine shop, you'll play a vital part in supporting mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture test pieces using CNC and manual machining tools
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Carry out precise measurements using micrometres, calipers, and gauges
Collaborate with engineers and lab technicians on testing projects
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness
Support data entry, stock control, and documentation as needed
Work independently to meet tight deadlines

Proven machining experience (lathe, milling, CNC)
