Our client, a leading global manufacturing company, is currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join their team. The Assembly Technician will have a background in fine tolerance assembly and would ideally have experience of working with optics, lenses or sensors.

Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Technician

  • Fine tolerance Assembly following technical diagrams
  • Kitting parts from the ERP production orders for sub-assemblies and final production
  • Calibration of completed products, using company calibration equipment and recording serial numbers and calibration data/other records in line with company procedures
  • Packing the finished range of products, to fulfil customer orders - ensuring readiness for on-time shipping
  • Keeping a tidy and organised working environment and stores area

Key Experience for the Assembly Technician

  • Relevant work experience in a high-quality organisation
  • Close tolerance assembly skills.
  • Competent with precision measuring equipment i.e. micrometers and verniers
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, general assembly drawings, department build instructions/procedures and geometric tolerances.
  • Able to operate a variety of small hand tools.
