Our client, a leading global manufacturing company, is currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join their team. The Assembly Technician will have a background in fine tolerance assembly and would ideally have experience of working with optics, lenses or sensors.
Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Technician
- Fine tolerance Assembly following technical diagrams
- Kitting parts from the ERP production orders for sub-assemblies and final production
- Calibration of completed products, using company calibration equipment and recording serial numbers and calibration data/other records in line with company procedures
- Packing the finished range of products, to fulfil customer orders - ensuring readiness for on-time shipping
- Keeping a tidy and organised working environment and stores area
Key Experience for the Assembly Technician
- Relevant work experience in a high-quality organisation
- Close tolerance assembly skills.
- Competent with precision measuring equipment i.e. micrometers and verniers
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, general assembly drawings, department build instructions/procedures and geometric tolerances.
- Able to operate a variety of small hand tools.
