Dedicated Latin Teacher Wanted in Richmond! Traditional Secondary School

Location: Richmond Role: Latin Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Latin lessons across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level Classical Civilisation.
• Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of Latin language, literature, and Roman culture.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Classics curriculum.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Latin.
• Potentially contribute to extracurricular classics clubs or trips.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Classics or Latin.
• Degree in Latin, Classical Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Latin at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
• Strong subject knowledge of Latin language, literature, and Roman history and culture.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make Latin engaging and accessible.
• A commitment to fostering a love of classical languages and civilizations within a brilliant and encouraging setting.
