Assistant Finance Manager

Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum

Full time permanent office-based role

Working hours: 9am–5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Commutable from Northallerton, Wetherby, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Thirsk or York, North Yorkshire.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Accounts Controller or Assistant Finance Manager to join a small but busy finance team based near Ripon in North Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Credit control and cash postings
  • Sales invoicing across multiple platforms
  • Approving and processing purchase invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Supporting with VAT returns and internal reports
  • Assisting with payroll-related tasks, timesheets, and expenses
  • Collaborating across departments and supporting the Accounts Manager

What we’re looking for:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified (or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Excel
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Someone who’s adaptable and happy to get involved in a wide range of finance tasks
