Role Description

This is a full-time, day shift role (Monday - Friday) for a Factory Hygiene Operative at our facility at Masham, near Ripon.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all areas of the factory, including production floors, storage, and equipment, are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, following company and health & safety guidelines.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and workstations.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures, including waste disposal and maintaining hygiene standards across all areas.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues or potential hazards.
  • Comply with all health and safety, environmental, and quality control regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in line with hygiene audits and inspections.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a factory or industrial hygiene role (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage.
  • Self motivated, with the ability to work efficiently and independently, with attention to detail.
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
