Construction Tutor

Full-time, Temporary (3-6 months)
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Construction Tutor to deliver high-quality training to learners in Rochdale. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective construction-based courses, supporting learners to develop the technical skills needed to succeed in the construction industry.
This role requires a strong combination of teaching expertise and hands-on industry experience. You will plan, deliver, and assess accredited training, while ensuring every learner is motivated, supported, and progressing towards their goals.

Duties:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality construction training sessions to learners of varying ability.
  • Deliver practical and theoretical sessions in line with awarding body standards.
  • Support learners to achieve qualifications in their chosen trade area.
  • Track learner progress, provide feedback, and ensure timely achievement of outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with internal and external quality requirements.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in all learning environments.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of delivery materials.


Required Skills:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS, or Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry/commercial experience within the construction sector.
  • Experience delivering training or teaching within a construction or vocational setting.
  • Qualifications in a relevant construction trade (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, multi-skills).
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to supporting learners to achieve their potential.


Due to the nature of this role, you be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
