Tradewind Are Recruiting - SEND Teaching Assistants Needed in Rochdale!
Are you a teaching assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for full-time SEND Teaching Assistants for long-term temporary roles starting September 2025 at a SEND Secondary School in Rochdale.
The Role:
- Full-time, term-time only (8:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri)
- Supporting students aged 11-16 with Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Communication Needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping deliver and monitor Individual Education Plans
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Experience in SEND is ideal, but we welcome applications from TAs with relevant experience in mainstream settings.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 months' recent TA experience in a UK school (referenced)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
- Full CV with employment and education history
- Legal right to work full time in the UK
