Tradewind Are Recruiting - SEND Teaching Assistants Needed in Rochdale!

Are you a teaching assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for full-time SEND Teaching Assistants for long-term temporary roles starting September 2025 at a SEND Secondary School in Rochdale.

The Role:

  • Full-time, term-time only (8:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri)
  • Supporting students aged 11-16 with Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Communication Needs
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups
  • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Helping deliver and monitor Individual Education Plans
  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Experience in SEND is ideal, but we welcome applications from TAs with relevant experience in mainstream settings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months' recent TA experience in a UK school (referenced)

  • Legal right to work full time in the UK
