The Supply Register, in partnership with the St Teresa Trust, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join St Vincent’s in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a welcoming school environment that is committed to supporting both staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils who require additional help

  • Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a well-organised classroom

  • Contribute to pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Ensure safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies are upheld at all times

Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach

  • Ability to support pupils of varying needs and abilities

  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting

  • Supporting pupils with SEND or behavioural needs

  • Knowledge of phonics or intervention strategies

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
