Graduate Electronics Engineer

  • Rochester, Kent (4 days p/w on site)
  • 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience

You'll be part of the development and supply of products across a diverse mix of commercial and military platforms.

As a Graduate Electronics Engineer, you will be a part of a small dedicated team that provides support to the design and verification of digital &/or analogue electronic solutions for products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors and other associated safety-critical technology.

What you'll be doing: Graduate Electronics Engineer

  • Providing technical support during the development and delivery of all aspects of digital &/or analogue designs from requirements development, concept and detailed design, through to product certification
  • Managing own tasks within given schedules and budgets to meet programme needs
  • Supporting the delivery of design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standards

Your skills and experiences: Graduate Electronics Engineer

Essential:

  • Awareness and basic understanding of digital &/or analogue electronics technologies; design tools and techniques, electronic circuits design, schematic capture, design analysis, design documentation, commissioning and integration
  • Able to work in small or large teams through the engineering development lifecycle with regular supervision/guidance
  • Awareness of cost and schedule management

Desirable:

  • Ideally have achieved HNC/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Practical electronics skills, e.g. circuit card assembly, soldering, wiring, etc
  • Awareness of component obsolescence management
  • Familiarisation with the Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise toolset
