We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Lecturer to join our clients forward-thinking college on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for current lecturers in plumbing or professionals from the plumbing industry who are eager to use their skills and experience to train the next generation of plumbing experts.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and develop lessons, including the creation of comprehensive schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, focusing on providing constructive and developmental feedback to students.
  • Monitor and report on the attendance, progress, and achievements of students. Ensure a safe working environment for both students and colleagues by enforcing health and safety standards.
  • Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their development and future progression.
  • Stay updated with industry developments in plumbing to ensure the relevance and employability of our students. Actively participate in continuing professional development to enhance both theoretical and practical teaching skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a teaching qualification with experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors or Possess a Level 3 qualification in a subject relevant to plumbing and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching plumbing to learners from Entry Level to Level 3, with knowledge of Plumbing & Heating and the Gas pathway.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to accurately track students' attendance, progress, and achievements.
