Assistant Production Manager

- Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage, train, and monitor the performance of the supervising team and seasonal staff.
- Oversee production jobs from growing to harvest.
- Coordinate the day-to-day logistics of work teams.
- Conduct training inductions for new employees.
- Monitor and report on health and safety.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Ensure fruit quality control during harvest.
- Adapt to fluctuating work hours during the busy harvest season, including long hours and weekend work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in soft fruit production (harvest or growing) is essential; however, full training will be provided.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- Proven experience managing groups of people.
- Innovative thinking and a positive approach.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of Russian or Bulgarian would be advantageous but is not required.
- Must have the right to work in the UK long term and possess a full clean driving licence.
