You will be responsible for operating the company-owned CAT D6 bulldozer to manage soil tipping and land restoration, ensuring safe access for HGVs and maximising void space.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.Our promise to you- Competitive salary- 20 days’ annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- On-the-job training and career progression- Recognition scheme & Refer a friend bonus- Flexible benefits (cycle to work, Gymflex, high street discounts & more) (Where applicable)- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing PlatformWhat will you be doing?- Operating the CAT D6 bulldozer safely and efficiently on site- Managing soil tipping to ensure smooth operations and safe HGV access- Conducting daily checks using AssetGo and maintaining the machine (fuel, lubricants, greasing, cleaning)- Liaising with supervisors and the weighbridge via 2-way radio- Supporting land restoration activities and maximising efficiency of resources- Following strict health, safety, environmental and quality standardsWhat are we looking for?We’re seeking someone who is:- Experienced – ideally 3 years’ experience operating bulldozers, preferably with soils tipping/land restoration- Qualified – valid operator’s card for bulldozer operation (minimum 12 months remaining)- Safety-conscious – understands waste acceptance basics (training provided), radio use, and basic bulldozer maintenance- A team player – communicative, conscientious and willing to support colleagues- Proactive – committed to maintaining high work standards and safety awarenessAbout UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
