Pay Rate: 36.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 6 Months
Location: Rotherham (Hybrid - 3 days on site, 2 days remote)
Rotherham Council's Adults Front Door Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner (AP) to join their dynamic front-line team on a 6-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled social work professional to play a key role in supporting decision-making, leading on complex cases, and providing guidance to colleagues at the front door of Adult Services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional oversight, leadership, and supervision to social workers within the Front Door team.
Manage and oversee complex cases and support effective risk assessment and decision-making.
Contribute to high-quality practice standards across the service and ensure timely and proportionate responses.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of adults at risk.
Support a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
Requirements
Social Work England registration (essential).
Prior experience in a similar environment - particularly within Front Door / IFD (Initial Front Door), Complex Cases, Leadership, or Supervision roles.
Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, MCA, and Safeguarding procedures.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professional practice.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
