Consilium Recruit are supporting a precision engineering business working with a diverse range of sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Industrial components. They are seeking a CNC Setter / Operator to work on a day shift pattern, Monday to Thursday, (Apply online only)hrs.

Salary: £ Negotiable (Dependent on Experience) + Pension + Paid Overtime + Bonus.

The Role

Working on a 4-day week Monday to Thursday, the CNC Setter / Operator will support an exciting range of manufacturing processes to bring new products into production.

Working from engineering drawings and interacting with CAD/CAM packages, you will play an active role in developing the solutions for customers.

You will work to precise GD&T requirements and ensure parts are checked and inspected prior to release to customer.

The projects are challenging and complex components for a global customer base, at a range of volumes and will include some prototyping and some developmental solutions.

You will work safely and collaboratively with the engineering team and enjoy excellent training and progression as part of the role.


The Person

The successful applicants for the CNC Setter / Operator position will be proven in CNC machine operation ideally turning or milling, preferably with a recognised engineering/technical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification by experience.

You will be able to undertake manual and basic CMM inspection of your work, be conversant with CAD/CAM applications and be keen to advance your skill levels in both CNC machining and related CAM applications.

You will have a good understanding of NC programs and be able to read program code and identify program errors. Previous experience working with Fanuc systems for CNC Turning is hugely advantageous for the role, alongside any Sliding Head machine experience.

Extensive training is provided continuously for the role as part of your ongoing professional development with the business.
