A leading employee-owned planning consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join its growing team in Rugby. Known for delivering expert multidisciplinary advice across the UK development sector, this practice offers a collaborative environment and diverse project portfolio spanning both the private and public sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional with at least 3 years of experience to work alongside specialists in urban design, architecture, transport and infrastructure, sustainability engineering, environmental services, and planning research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial planning advice to a wide range of clients

  • Prepare high-quality planning reports, applications, and submissions

  • Liaise with technical consultants and manage project teams

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking and engagement

  • Represent client interests throughout the planning process

  • Engage proactively with local planning authorities and stakeholders

  • Contribute to the growth and success of the Rugby office

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Planning or a related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning role (public or private sector)

  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy and procedures

  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of work
