WE are seeking a Yard Manager for our client based in Warwickshire.

Monday - Friday

7:00- 16:00

£30,000 per year depending on experience


Job Description:

To oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced. This role is ideal for someone with a background in mechanics who can manage inventory and organize logistics, and perform or oversee routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the yard and work areas.
  • Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company equipment (e.g., trucks, trailers, generators, small & large Agriculture machines).
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and repair history for all assets.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs or part procurement when needed.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, deliveries, and shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials when necessary.
  • Support logistics and operations teams with equipment allocation and yard logistics.
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Yard Manager, Mechanic, or in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical background; ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintaining heavy machinery and tools.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve under pressure.
