Role: Expeditor - Supply Chain / Procurement Support
Location: Rugby (on-site)
Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: Up to 25 per hour PAYE (26 days holiday per annum + bank holidays)
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are delivered on time in accordance with project requirements. The role focuses on actively managing and communicating with suppliers to expedite open orders, resolve delays, and maintain supply chain performance in line with Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor order status, identify potential schedule risks, and take corrective action to maintain on-time delivery.
- Work closely with Procurement, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve supplier issues affecting delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate records of order status, delivery commitments, and supplier responses.
- Support the management of claims, vendor recovery, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide timely updates and reports on supplier delivery performance to internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, acting as the key point of contact for expediting activities.
- Assist with supplier performance reviews and work with teams to develop and implement mitigation plans where delays occur.
- Occasional order placvement and RFQ activities.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in expediting, order management, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Self-starter with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
