We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering team. This is a key role, ensuring components meet strict quality and inspection standards. You will work with a variety of parts, from small turned components to larger prismatic milled parts, supporting production and engineering teams to maintain the highest levels of quality.

The role of the Quality Inspector:
- Carry out precision dimensional inspection of components to drawing tolerances, including First-Off and Roaming Batch inspections.
- Use a range of metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and surface measurement equipment.
- Perform visual batch inspections during process and final release, ensuring only compliant components are approved.
- Support internal audits and assist in corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards.
- Produce clear inspection documentation and reports, communicating findings effectively to relevant teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
The person for the Quality Inspector:
- Proven experience in dimensional inspection of precision components.
- Knowledge of both turned and milled parts inspection.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, ideally AS9100 Rev D.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
- Effective communication skills with experience producing reports and documentation.
- Proficiency with inspection and documentation software.
