gap technical is proud to be representing a leading national manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site near Runcorn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain plant equipment, services, and buildings on-site.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Complete GMP assessments and ensure compliance; report and act on findings.
  • Assist the Senior Shift Engineer in implementing cost-saving and efficiency improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 3 or higher).
  • Electrically biased (essential).
  • Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical manufacturing (advantageous).
  • Confident with computer systems and maintenance software.
  • Strong communication skills-able to liaise across all levels.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
  • A strong team player with solid problem-solving skills.
