Role: Pharmacy Dispenser 

Location: Runcorn, UK Hours: We have 2 positions available both 37.5 hours Monday - Friday (1 position is any 7.5 hours between 0800-1900 and the other being 0700-1500, alternating with 1500-2300 weekly)Salary: £25,297 base + bonus and shift allowance

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently ensuring all patients' prescriptions are available for dispensing.
  • Liaising by email and telephone with hospitals, surgeries, and dieticians to ensure prescriptions are available and patients’ treatment continues seamlessly.
  • Collaborating with other Apprentice Dispensers, Dispensers, Accuracy Checking Technicians, and Pharmacists to ensure efficient use of resources across all Pharmacy sections.
  • Promptly responding to any email and telephone queries that arise as part of the prescription processing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an administration/customer service role
  • Previous dispensing experience would be ideal but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services would be an advantage, but not essential, and can be provided.
  • Strong IT skills are essential (including Microsoft Office package); experience with SAP would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and great attention to detail.
