Local Housing Manager

Location: Various
Hours: Part-time (18 hours per week across Mon, Wed, Fri - 9am to 3pm)
Contract Type: Temporary

We're looking for a Local Housing Manager to become the heart of one of the Retirement Living schemes. This is a rewarding, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be the face of the scheme, supporting residents, maintaining safe and welcoming environments, and working with the wider community.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the scheme, ensuring everything runs smoothly

  • Supporting residents with tenancy management, well being and community engagement

  • Coordinating health & safety checks, repairs, contractor services and compliance

  • Managing rent accounts, void properties, and budgets in line with the organisations policies

  • Creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere by facilitating events and activities

  • Acting as a first point of contact for safeguarding, ASB issues, and welfare concerns

  • Liaising with local agencies to ensure residents receive the support they need

  • Providing cover support to neighbouring courts when needed



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in housing or support roles, ideally within social housing or older people's services

  • A customer-first approach with excellent people and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with care and professionalism

  • Confident in using IT systems and updating records accurately

  • Knowledge of housing management, welfare benefits, and tenancy law (desirable)

  • CIH Level 3/4 qualification (desirable)

  • Commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding, and resident well being
