About the Role:

The care home provides personal, nursing, and dementia care to residents in a purpose built, modern setting designed to feel like home.

As a Senior Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents
  • Supporting residents with all aspects of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
  • Leading and supporting the care team on shift, ensuring all duties are carried out to a high standard
  • Completing medication rounds accurately and ensuring high standards in care documentation
  • Conducting one-to-ones with team members and assisting with investigations and concerns as directed by management
  • Promoting good practice and addressing poor performance constructively

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Registered Nurse)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home
  • Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the home

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a similar senior care role within a nursing home
  • Experience supporting individuals with dementia
  • NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care (or above)
  • Familiarity with the National Care Standards Act 2000
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a care team effectively
