A Commercial Manager with several years’ experience bidding in a Technical Service environment (Defence/ MOD) will take on a customer facing role, with responsibility for managing and coordinating the full bid lifecycle process.
The successful Commercial Bid Manager will be a key member of the sales team of a leading Technical Consultancy, where you’ll focus on Defence and Security, working primarily with the MOD.
Your background should include:
- A Degree qualification ideally in a technical discipline.
- Experience in government procurement as well as business to business bidding.
- Proven experience of bidding in a technical services environment, predominantly in Defence.
- Preparation of commercial and technical bid or proposal documents.
- Experience of client contact.
The responsibilities of the Commercial Bid Manager will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of bids including support to Contract negotiation.
- Preparing and delivering compelling bid content and documentation aligned with customer requirements.
- Management of government frameworks.
- Liaising with legal teams on bid information.
