??The Role

As aClient Manager, youll take ownership of your own portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, delivering technical excellence, strategic insight, and hands-on support. This role blends leadership, advisory, and compliance responsibilities in a firm that truly values collaboration, growth, and work-life balance.

??Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and support.

  • Oversee and review work prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare and review management accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and year-end financial statements.

  • Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and business strategy.

  • Monitor job workflows, internal deadlines, and billing targets.

  • Identify opportunities for added-value services to help clients grow.

  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

??What Were Looking For
  • ACA / ACCA qualified(or finalist with strong experience).

  • 45 years experience in a public practice environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Xero and other cloud-based accounting platforms.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term client relationships.

  • High attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach.

  • A supportive leader who enjoys helping others grow.
