Join a well-established accountancy practice experiencing sustained growth. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join a friendly and supportive payroll team based in Sale.

The Role:

As Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, processing weekly and monthly payrolls, and ensuring a smooth and compliant end-to-end payroll service. You'll play a key role in helping reduce payroll queries and delivering excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run payrolls from start to finish for 60-70 clients (1-80 employees each)
  • Manage starters, leavers, P45s, P60s, RTI submissions, EPS, and pension submissions
  • Process CIS returns (training can be provided if needed)
  • Communicate directly with clients on payroll-related matters
  • Support compliance with pension providers and HMRC

About You:

  • Experience running client payrolls in an accountancy practice is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Sage Payroll
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of payrolls
  • CIS knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
  • A true team player who values collaboration and a positive working culture
