Join our centralised Financial team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the objectives of the Capital Finance Team. This role is integral in building relationships, maintaining value for money, and innovating new working methods. You will be supporting the Place directorate, requiring solid Capital experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work alongside other Finance professionals to deliver effective cost management, budget review, and highlight efficiencies across directorates.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with finance colleagues and stakeholders in the assigned service area.
  • Maintain accurate financial records on our general ledger and supporting systems.
  • Develop and maintain financial monitoring systems.
  • Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial information to contribute to the preparation of accounts, statutory returns, and reports on financial performance.
  • Support, advise, direct, coach, and supervise junior colleagues, ensuring that standards and deadlines are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of achieving solutions and delivering results in a finance role.
  • Significant accounting and commercial experience involving funding models, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in business partnering across multiple finance and non-finance teams.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in digital skills including SAP and Microsoft Office products.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation, service policies, and strategies.
  • Ability to work independently within the guidelines of policies and procedures
