As the Chef de Partie you are responsible for overseeing a specific section or station in a kitchen. Ensure the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food are of high quality, adhering to Embankment Kitchens standards.

The role involves supervising other kitchen team members, maintaining cleanliness and organisation, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Station Management:

    • Oversee the preparation and cooking of food at a designated station (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, etc.).
    • Ensure food is cooked to the correct specifications and presented attractively.

    • Team Collaboration:
    • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen team members.
    • Coordinate with other chefs to ensure smooth operation between different stations.
  • Food Preparation & Cooking:
    • Prepare ingredients and dishes to meet restaurant menus and customer preferences.
    • Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards, following company policies and health regulations.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure the consistency of food quality, portion control, and plating standards.
    • Taste food for seasoning and quality before serving.
  • Inventory & Stock Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
    • Ensure proper storage of food to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all health and safety standards and regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, especially within the station.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
    • Report any issues or concerns to senior management.
