Contract Manager / Principal Officer

  • Hours: 36 per week, hybrid (2-3 days on-site)

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a proactive and skilled Housing Contract Manager to join a Local Authority in Salford. This pivotal role involves overseeing housing contracts for the Council, ensuring robust performance management and continuous service improvement in line with the City Mayor's priorities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and maintain performance management processes across various housing sectors.
  • Prepare and analyse detailed monthly performance reports to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead the development of new funding opportunities and oversee the procurement of service contracts.
  • Implement contractual remedies and support the mobilisation of new service contracts.
  • Enforce compliance with housing regulations and standards, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing housing contracts and a strong grasp of KPIs.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic skills, with a keen ability to prepare and interpret performance reports.
  • Strong project management skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience in enforcement of contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent practical experience in contract management or a related field.
