About the Role
An established organisation in the housing sector is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will play a pivotal part in providing financial insight, challenge, and support during the conclusion of a significant housing management contract.

You will work closely with operational leaders, project teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure the financial implications of this transition are clearly understood and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to operational teams, providing expert financial advice and support throughout the contract closure period.

  • Lead on financial planning, forecasting, and analysis relating to the end of a major housing management agreement.

  • Monitor budgets, costs, and income to ensure accurate reporting and effective control.

  • Provide clear financial insights to influence decision-making and support risk management.

  • Work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders to interpret financial performance and identify opportunities for efficiency.

  • Prepare and present high-quality financial reports for senior management and the board.

  • Support the smooth transfer or closure of financial processes linked to the contract.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, organisational policies, and governance requirements.

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified with relevant experience.

  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in housing, local government, or contract wind-down/transition projects would be an advantage.

  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear, non-technical way.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work to tight deadlines in a changing environment.
