Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Salford

Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new role? We are currently working with a primary school looking for a member of staff for their alternative provision in the Salford area

You will be working with small groups and children 1:1 whilst supporting the class teacher. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) then this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with challenging behaviours and SEN in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Building positive relationships with class teachers to monitor progress and implement strategies
  • Preparing resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences
  • Engaging and building rapport with pupils to encourage learning

Position Details:

  • Location: Salford
  • Position: Experienced SEN TA
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time only
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: 105- 115 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach training is highly desired
  • Previous experience supporting complex needs in a residential or school setting

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
