We are currently recruiting for Ecologists, with experience of land management operations and best practise, to join a UK Gov Department, for a rolling contract, starting 3 months + potential extensions in Salisbury.

Must be eligible to undergo SC Clearance - Candidates holding active SC would benefit of a quicker start date

Essential experience:

  • Experience of land management operations and best practise
  • Able to facilitate the effective use of land for trials and operations
  • Knowledge of legislation to protect species habitats & ecosystems:Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, and the Environment Act 2021
  • Experience of maintaining Site of Scientific Special Interest, a Special Protection Area and a Special Area of Conservation
  • Desirable: understanding of Defence procedures/ previous work in a defence environment
