On-Call: 1 in 5 weeks (24/7 cover, paid on-call allowance)

We’re hiring an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a brand-new, large-scale engineering facility due to go live this summer. This is a rare chance to join an ambitious new project at the ground level, offering the stability of a long-term role alongside genuine opportunities for technical development.

The Role:

As an EC&I Engineer, you will:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical and control systems.

  • Troubleshoot and fault-find PLCs, control panels, instrumentation, and 3-phase equipment.

  • Support planned and emergency shutdowns, working with OEMs where necessary.

  • Contribute to technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with the training and mentoring of junior team members and apprentices.

You'll Be Working With:
  • Siemens PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI, pressure sensors, motors, and safety systems.

  • A wide range of modern electrical and control infrastructure across a large, complex site.

About You:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Instrumentation or Control Engineering.

  • Strong background in heavy or high-volume engineering environments.

  • Comfortable working with automated systems, fault-finding and performing hands-on maintenance.

  • Team player with a mindset for safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

  • Base Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (up to £53,000 for exceptional candidates)

  • EC&I Specialist Allowance: +7.5%

  • Annual Bonus: Up to 2.5% of salary, paid each March
