What We Offer:
- Hourly Rate: 13.37
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Working Pattern: Night Shift (Friday / Saturday 6pm-6am; Sunday 6pm - 2am, Wednesday 6am - 1.30pm)
- Location: Eastfield, North Yorkshire (Just an 18-minute walk from Seamer train station!)
Your Role:
As a Plating Operative, you will be at the heart of our production processes, contributing to the high standards of our manufacturing operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Understanding the tin plating process, including start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Hooking/jigging and hanging components for plating.
- Managing pre-plating degreasing and rinsing tank procedures, along with plating acid tank and drying procedures.
- Overseeing paperwork related to components and ensuring proper organisation upon process completion.
- Conducting trade effluent procedures, including hourly pH checks.
- Monitoring daily addition chemicals, tin anode conditions, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Familiarising yourself with emergency procedures related to chemical spills, eye wash stations, and drench showers.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
