We are on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our vibrant team in Eastfield, North Yorkshire, as a Plating Operative! If you're eager to make your mark in the electronics industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What We Offer:

  • Hourly Rate: 13.37
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Working Pattern: Night Shift (Friday / Saturday 6pm-6am; Sunday 6pm - 2am, Wednesday 6am - 1.30pm)
  • Location: Eastfield, North Yorkshire (Just an 18-minute walk from Seamer train station!)

Your Role:
As a Plating Operative, you will be at the heart of our production processes, contributing to the high standards of our manufacturing operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding the tin plating process, including start-up and shut-down procedures.
  • Hooking/jigging and hanging components for plating.
  • Managing pre-plating degreasing and rinsing tank procedures, along with plating acid tank and drying procedures.
  • Overseeing paperwork related to components and ensuring proper organisation upon process completion.
  • Conducting trade effluent procedures, including hourly pH checks.
  • Monitoring daily addition chemicals, tin anode conditions, and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Familiarising yourself with emergency procedures related to chemical spills, eye wash stations, and drench showers.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
