Group Financial Accountant - Scunthorpe - £45,000 - £50,000 Chase & Holland are recruiting exclusively for a successful, growing group of companies based in Scunthorpe who are looking for a Group Financial Accountant.This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically competent, driven Group Financial Accountant to lead all financial and statutory accounting and financial controls for all the group companies.Package includes:

Key accountabilities will include:

Lead all the annual statutory accounting for all group companies and consolidation
Preparation of draft financial and statutory accounts including detailed narrative reports for the SMT, internal and external stakeholders
Oversee the completion of all related governance documents
Manage and maintain a strong working partnership with external auditors, bank & tax advisors
Design, define and manage the financial controls & assurance required for all group entities
Management of monthly intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet control
Oversee all VAT and taxation returns and compliance for all group entities in line with requirements, including relevant disclosures
Finance lead for all business and process change projects, including digital change and data integrity across all group entities
Identify and lead all process and control improvement programmes within the finance teams

The ideal candidate will be:

A technically competent qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a strong knowledge of all accounting principles
Strong interpersonally including effective communicator to be able to manage the key relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
Proven background leading a large group financial function within a complex, regulated or third sector industry
You will be controls driven and be able to engage the wider business and drive change
A self-starter, someone who can hit the ground running quickly in a large, complex unique group of companies
Highly IT Literate including excel and various ERP systems
This role could suit someone seeking a first or second move from practice into industry
