A leading industrial services organisation is seeking a Global Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a critical, high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape and drive the company's global HSE strategy.

The successful candidate will be based in the company's Scunthorpe office and must be prepared to travel internationally as needed to support operations.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in industrial services. You'll be responsible for developing and overseeing the organisation's HSE systems, policies, and practices across global operations. As a key member of the leadership team, you'll work cross-functionally to promote a strong safety culture and ensure legal and corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies and management systems.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to top management on all safety-related matters.
  • Ensure effective compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and corporate standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits (internal and external), and incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure safe execution of all activities.
  • Deliver in-house safety training and support staff in understanding their HSE responsibilities.
  • Review and audit subcontractors' safety performance.
  • Liaise with clients on HSE-related issues and contribute to tender preparation with safety documentation.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies and perform risk assessments across various stages of project execution.

Additional Duties:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (minimum)
  • Experience in HSE within industrial services (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of UK health, safety & environmental legislation
  • Proven incident investigation and risk assessment experience
  • ISO auditing qualifications and practical experience
  • Background in delivering safety training or teaching
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Must be office-based in Scunthorpe (commutable)
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
