We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team in Scunthorpe. This role involves preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, all made to order. The position offers a flexible schedule with shifts from Monday to Sunday, based on a rota system, with the potential to pick up more hours during busy periods.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare and cook meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner as per the restaurant's menu.
  • Ensure that all dishes are made to order and meet the high standards of quality and taste.
  • Manage ingredients and inventory to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Work efficiently under pressure during peak meal times.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef/Kitchen Assistant with expertise in handling breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management abilities and the capability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in the kitchen.
  • A culinary school diploma or equivalent practical experience.
