Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our team in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, supporting adults in the community with a focus on safeguarding and promoting their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of adults in need of social care support.

  • Manage and complete Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014 to safeguard adults at risk.

  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals.

  • Work proactively to identify and reduce risks of abuse or neglect.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies.

  • Liaise with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support for adults.

  • Advocate for service users to ensure their voices are heard and their rights respected.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in safeguarding adults.

  • Experience completing Section 42 enquiries.

  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to person-centred practice and equality.
