We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a thriving and inclusive primary school in the Scunthorpe area.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children access the curriculum and develop key skills.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and contribute to the creation of a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required.
What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in Early Years or KS1 settings.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Hold relevant qualifications in SEN or Teaching Assistance (Level 2/3 or equivalent) – although this is not essential for the right candidate.
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
